The Southwest, with its earthy hues of reds and ochres against the blue sky, holds a profound beauty that often compels her to stop and begin painting on location.

She feels compelled to capture these moments and colors to preserve their essence.

Benally currently resides on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, where the pristine land inspires her to engage in meditative painting practices. She believes that the spirit of the land will manifest itself for her to capture on canvas, creating a profound connection between her and the natural world.
