Reflecting on an unforgettable week at Dallas Art Fair 2026, we're deeply thankful for the vibrant energy and meaningful conversations with collectors and guests alike.

Works by Patrick Dean Hubbell, George Alexander, and Hattie Lee Mendoza shaped the presentation, and we are deeply grateful for the privilege of presenting their distinct voices.

Now on view at Gerald Peters Contemporary: An Unrepentant Original: The Enduring Legacy of Maurice Burns.

This exhibition brings together a thoughtful selection of works by Maurice Burns, presented in remembrance. Together, these works reflect his independent spirit and depth of a life artfully lived.

Remaining deliberately unclassifiable, Maurice cultivated a practice defined by autonomy, where structure and improvisation exist in constant tension. His paintings translate his complex relationship with jazz, cultural identity, and personal narrative.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Maurice Burn’s passing. Maurice’s work carries a sincerity and boldness that reflected who he was, thoughtful, fearless, and unapologetically original. His practice was influenced by his relationship with rhythm, improvisation, and the colors and forms he associated with jazz. The expanses of the Southwest landscape also shaped his work, offering him a sense of spiritual liberation and belonging.

We are deeply grateful to have known Maurice, and to have had the honor of representing his work. We will continue to share his art with appreciation, ensuring that his voice, his vision, and the stories he recreated in his work remain alive.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the many people who have been touched by his life and his artwork.

We are in the process of planning an exhibition to celebrate Maurice, and the artful life that he lived.

A few shots of our newest solo show. “Badlands” featuring Scott Kelley.

This body of work features watercolor and mixed-media paintings that spotlight wildlife set against the surreal, dreamlike landscapes of the Southwest. Scott brings a refined hand and a vibrant atmosphere to each piece, creating scenes where familiar creatures inhabit other-worldly terrain. This group of paintings reflect both older and newer pieces that are part of an ongoing series.

On view now through January 9th, 2026.

VOID_6_STORY_QUILT extends X’s VOID_STRATA series’ investigation into chromatics, materiality, and technology, forming a layered meditation on memory, absence, and Indigenous futurity. Reimagining the television test pattern as a living, responsive medium, the quilt shifts this once-static broadcast tool into a dynamic textile field—an evolving language of symbols, frequencies, and form.
