Welcome to the art of Marc Kolodziejczyk. As a native of Arizona, I grew up with some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets in our country. Every day I waited to watch those magical moments where the sun would completely envelop me with peace and tranquility. Although I have now come to realize who I am, in my early years of high school and college I ran from art in fear of the “Starving Ar

tist Syndrome” as I worked really hard to avoid the artistic desires within. Yet no matter where I find myself, the sun and its light seem to guide me back to who I am. My paintings are my attempt at capturing the intense colors of light with the emotion of the moment, a way of “being there.” I left the Arizona desert to paint the coastal beaches of California and have been living there for over 25 years. As an avid surfer, sailor, climber and scuba diver, I desire to capture the essence of those magical moments as the sun sets and rises over the ocean and other landscapes.
