In 1999 Chuck Jones, one of animationโs legendary pioneering directors-producers and four-time Academy Award-recipient, envisioned a place where children of all ages could explore their creativity. It would be a place where all ideas would be welcome, where inspiration would be nurtured without prejudice and creativity would be able to blossom and grow. The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, utilizing the art, writings and films of Chuck Jones nurtures that spirit of creativity in an environment that is playful, lively and educational.
Through exhibitions of rare, original art from the archive of the Chuck Jones Museum, visitors to a Chuck Jones Experience PopUp will learn about Jonesโ early childhood and how his talents (and those of his artist-siblings) were nurtured by his parents and how that way of encouraging artistic growth influenced his own methods of creating such world-famous animation characters such as Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner and Pepรฉ le Pew. One of the fathers of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Jones also created some of most beloved television specials of all time, ones that now resonate with young families around the globe such as โRikki Tikki Taviโ and โThe White Sealโ.
