Sanatoga Unit 58-81  Follow the restoration of a 1967 Chevy P30 with a Boyertown body, once Sanatoga Fire Co. Emergency Unit 58-81. All restoration work is privately funded.

This vintage apparatus is being brought back to life, preserving its history, honoring its volunteers, and sharing every step of the rebuild. Huston we have a problem!

Guess we need to track down a new gas tank.

We tried patching it and while it did end up getting us through one more day the repair just wasn’t up for the challenge.

And standard fashion this is a case where there isn’t a standard part that matches the original.

WOW — WHAT A DAY!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Sanatoga Fire Company Car Show and Open House!

With 80 plus cars filling the show and an incredible crowd throughout the day, we could not have asked for a better turnout. It was great seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new ones, and watching people stop to check out 58-81, ask questions, share memories, and hear a little more about what we have been working on.

For us, getting to finally show her off at home was pretty special.

Thank you to everyone who brought a car, stopped by to visit, supported the vendors, made a donation, shared a story, or simply came out to spend the day with us. And of course, a huge thank you to all of the members and volunteers who put in the time behind the scenes to make the entire event happen.

More than 80 cars. A fantastic crowd. One old fire van back where she belongs.

WOW — WHAT A DAY!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Sanatoga Fire Company Car Show and Open House!

With 80 plus cars filling the show and an incredible crowd throughout the day, we could not have asked for a better turnout. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference. Today was interior day. Every surface was vacuumed scrubbed and washed to remove the years of dust, dirt and grime that had accumulated. While it does help make it look better it also definitely helped freshen the musty stale air smell that lingered from having been closed up for 12 years.

We are 5 days away from her official debut at Sanatoga fire company’s car show!
