Showroom open by appointment

My showroom is home to many pieces of my pottery: an inventory of current work, tile work, individual tiles, experimental styles, pieces not yet sold from past periods of work, seconds, broken pieces for mosaics. The beautiful Territorial style puddled adobe building is also home to my animation studio, fundamentalist flowerchild productions, which will soon have its own page.

Folks have been asking me if I'm having my annual Mother's Day sale at Kate Brown Pottery & Tile, Studio & Showroom in the Mimbres. Here's the answer: No, after 60 years as a potter I am retiring! And there will be a Celebration out here on Sunday, June 21 (Summer Solstice and Father's Day) as part of the Silver City CLAY Festival. https://clayfestival.com/activities-events. I look forward to working on the shard wall with folks in the morning, and in the afternoon, hanging out and recounting the highs and lows of my beloved involvement with clay. I'll post more closer to the event.

I'm looking forward to the opening of the "Shades Of Clay" exhibit at Made In Silver City - MISC Gallery in the Murray Hotel. This will be the only exhibit of my pottery during the Silver City CLAY Festival this year. I'm exhibiting with fellow potter Barry Gillen The opening will be on Friday July 18, 5-6. I'll be there with pottery and sesame cookies.....

Some pots for my Mother's Day Sale, May 10-11, just out of the bisque kiln, ready to be clear-glazed and heated up again, to bring the colors to life and make them durable and food safe. I've made lots of small pieces to offer folks. Hope to see many of you here in the lovely Mimbres Valley.

Starting to get pots from the kiln, after one mis-fire, my first ever! My first big load is cooling now, then one more to load & fire before my Mother's Day Sale,May 10-12, Fri, Sat,Sun, 11-5, at Kate Brown Pottery & Tile, Studio & Showroom in the Mimbres.
Looking forward to seeing lots of you. Refreshments served, shady area to hang out, live music Sat 1-3.
