These paintings dismantle traditional botanical forms, transforming them into highly expressive, abstract portraits of texture and layered visual energy. They offer a captivating study in dualities, juxtaposing fluid organic rhythms with structured, grid-like geometry.

Pleased to share a sneak peek at a new 3D aluminum wall sculpture by Archie Held, currently being finalized in his studio. Slide 1 showcases the refined, minimalist design with white base coat, while Slide 2 offers a view behind the scenes into its unpainted, aluminum state.

The structural geometry creates a captivating tension, contrasting pronounced angles with a sweeping, volumetric curve that commands the surrounding space. The curves and intersecting planes continually invite light to transform the piece as you view it from different perspectives.

Pleased to feature Katheryn Holt’s new painting “Blush,” 36”x72”, mixed media on panel. This piece beautifully translates memory into landscape, the horizon line simultaneously defines and dissolves the picture plane, transforming a coastal vista into a deeply meditative space. With delicate markings that track the movement of wind and tide, the painting captures the essence of a fleeting moment.

Pleased to feature Carolyn Meyer’s new impasto oil painting, “Sun and Fog” (36” x 72”) which masterfully captures San Francisco nestled between dramatic mountains and the sweeping bay. The rich texture brings the canvas to life, contrasting the sharp geometry of modern skyscrapers against the soft, organic curves of the landscape. The lower foreground features a kaleidoscopic rhythm of warm and deep hues, while the sun bathes central high-rises in a warm golden glow that contrasts beautifully with the cool turquoise of the bay and the hazy atmospheric peaks in the distance.

It has been quiet here for a while as I took time to heal and recover from surgery. I am now back and excited to share new work with you:

I am pleased to feature Nora Bruhn’s magnificent large-scale painting, A Timeless State of Grace, 18 x 20 ft, Acrylic on Canvas.

Standing before this monumental peony quadriptych, composed of four 10 x 9 ft canvases, one is immediately enveloped by its commanding presence. The painting transcends a traditional botanical study to create an immersive environment. Its dramatic, closely cropped composition pulls the viewer directly into the intricate layers and grand architecture of the blossom. Every brushstroke and nuanced layer of soft, luminous hues work in tandem, brilliantly translating a delicate subject into a powerful monument of large-scale contemporary painting.

Can be installed without the metal bars seen in the photos.
