IMMERSIVE X 2026 is the festival's most ambitious edition yet, with more than 100 presenters and around 70 sessions exploring how immersive technologies can help us Reclaim the Future.

November 10-12, 2026. Three days of talks, panels, performances, and world hopping inside virtual worlds, with much of it joinable from a desktop. No travel, no convention hall. Just people gathering inside the medium itself.

The Virtual Worlds Museum is proud to be an official sponsor and is hosting multiple events.

Entirely virtual. Free to attend. Step inside: https://immersive-x.de

Who owns your world — and are you prepared to take it with you?

XR Women’s latest Learning Circle explored creator agency across XR and AI, including platform durability, privacy, consent, data practices, and what happens when a platform closes or changes direction.

The discussion highlighted a simple reality: creators may be able to export some assets, but communities, histories, events, audience relationships, and AI-driven behaviours can be much harder to move.

The session also focused on practical steps creators can take now — including testing exports, backing up prompts and AI outputs, and keeping community communication channels outside the platform.
