From our beginning as a single store over 60 years ago in Nepal, we have being supporting the spiritual practices and sharing the authentic art to the locals of Nepal and travellers in search of serenity. Diwash Shakya comes from a very well known goldsmith family of Boudha, Nepal. From his early days he was introduced to the ethnic gold jewelry craft trade. He embarked on a journey to start Lotus Within to introduce this art of Himalayan metal craft and its relevance and value to the modern world. Shilpa Shakya, born into a leading pioneer family of the Himalayan art dealers in Kathmandu, from an early age she was surrounded by the beautiful collection of art by her Father. Shilpa has always had a passion for spiritual practices and believes that guide people to the ultimate truth and combine with passion for Himalayan art; Lotus Within is a natural fit.
