Take to the streets, the seas and the skies! Speak out against hate! If you can please support this project organized by Bay Area artist Michele Pred!

Please help me fund this airplane banner that I have scheduled to fly over Crissy Field during the white supremicist rally at 2pm in San Francisco on Saturday Aug. 26. I need the funds ASAP to make it happen. The funds will also be used to document the event using drones and video along with ad...

Now hear this, now hear this, it's gonna be lit: DJ Pam the Funkstress to hit the main stage at Night Light! The Bay Area DJ was on the road with Prince during his lavish Piano and a Microphone Tour. She DJ'd his after-parties with her well-honed blend of classic funk and golden-era hip-hop. (In her lively sets, she’s been known to shift fluidly from Divine Sounds to the Gap Band and DJ Kwest.) She was a member of that infamous, socially charged Oakland rap group with Boots Riley in the 1990s.

Night Light is curated by Melorra Green and Karen Seneferu. Click here to see the full lineup and get your tickets before they sell out! http://bit.ly/2fxsB12 AND if you interested in a behind scenes tour of Night Light please click here: http://bit.ly/2hQ0laA

April 22. Join the resistance. Piece de Resistance. Visit the cultural oasis that is SOMArts. There's no need for FOMO. You can still purchase your ticket! Oh, what's that you say? You're out of town that night? No worries, love, you can still buy a ticket and gift it to a friend! Or you can donate to SOMArts! Your support is meaningful. We would be grateful if you could help us as we support local artists and curators. Help us keep the Bay Area's arts ecosystem alive and thriving! And fun and accessible to all!

Generally this page is reserved for promoting art events and happenings, and to celebrate the SF art scene. This post is different. It is critical that as lovers of art, culture and creative freedom you register to vote. The election's outcome in November is critical to all who enjoy freedom - creative freedom, personal freedom. If you are registered to vote make sure that everyone you know who is eligible to vote is also registered. Cast your vote for the candidate who will best protect your personal and creative freedom. Cast your vote for the future generations who should be entitled to the same freedoms (and more) that we now enjoy. And if you haven't already, now's a good time to become an activist. Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight. Paint, sing, dance, express and share the message of freedom and take all that energy to the polls.
