Stairwell's Founded in 2011, Stairwell's is a collaborative social practice project led by artist Carey Lin with chief collaborator Gabriel Gilder, and many others.

Stairwell’s is a collaborative project led by San Francisco-based artist Carey Lin. The project has taken many forms, from site-specific interventions to group walking tours to curated exhibitions. We are committed to creating interactive art experiences that expand collective understandings of place and the everyday. To date, we’ve mounted 8 exhibitions with 14 artists in 6 different stairwells,

led 13 Field Trip walking tours with 11 guest Field Trip leaders, and produced 8 publications with content from 14 writers. Stairwell's was co-founded in 2011 by Sarah Hotchkiss and Carey Lin.
