Since 1969, the Community Arts Program has provided a free-of-charge fine arts studio for community artists who lack access to creative resources due to poverty and homelessness. The program provides artistic access, instruction, exhibition and sales opportunities while providing low-threshold, peer-based support in accessing services that contribute to personal stability.

Dear Community,

It is with a very sad heart I share the news that community member Cameron Kim passed away peacefully on February 8th 2021.

I know many of you were good friends with him, appreciated his art or were simply familiar with his face as he would often sit and chat to folks at the front of CAP, welcoming them in and encouraging everyone to make art.
His gentle, kind and creative spirit will be missed.

The memorial service will be held from 3-4pm this Wednesday 24th Feb on Zoom.
(email [email protected] for the link)

There will also be an Altar at the front of CAP (1009 Market st) where folks can pay their respects if they wish.
