Cutouts are an unlimited edition multiple, hand painted by the artist, and some are painted on both sides. This body of her work was begun in that tiny Cretan Village and dr

aws its inspiration from the exquisite life there.The medium is Liquitex acrylic on Brazilian plywood. The varnished finish allows the Object to visit outdoors & wears well.Clean with soap, sponge & water. There are 120 different Objects in this series, which is still in production in the Artist’s studio in Bernal Heights. Studio visits are welcome! Toby Judith Klayman was born in 1935 in Providence, R.I. Since her first solo exhibition in 1971, she has enjoyed extraordinary success with critics and public alike. She is represented in 3000 collections worldwide. Klayman was a tenured member of the City College Art Department Faculty, and also a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Golden Gate University, in San Francisco, where she offered a course in the Arts Administration Graduate Program teaching the Management of the Career of an Individual artist. In 1984, Klayman wrote her first book, The Artists’ Survival Manual,”, published by Charles Scribner’s Sons. This book has been revised, is still in print and may be obtained at www.klaymanart.com.
