Well, this is an interesting little tid-bit I picked up recently. Anyone have any thoughts on what exactly the "De la Poer Electric Touch Announcer" might have looked like or how it worked? From 1911? That's about 25 years prior to electric scoring being introduced for international competition.

This Saturday!

FIGHT DAY - WHEEL of DOOM
August 5th
10:00 am - 1:00 pm

For our next Fight Day, we will be dedicating a space for Wheel of Doom matches.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Wheel of Doom, it's an apparatus Coach Paul built.

One opponent spins the wheel to find out which weapon they will use for the fight.

The second opponent spins to find out what weapon they will use.
The results are often hilarious, always interesting.

Please note, this is not a tournament. Just an opportunity to have some fun.

Meanwhile, the rest of the school will be available for normal Fight Day fun which includes:

* Choose an opponent , choose the rules and fight.
* Open to all styles and types of fighting. Open Hand & Weapon Sparring

One other thing to note this time - we will not be doing advanced sales. All sales will be at the door. The price remains the same at $25/fighter. We take cash, debit and credit.

A Sword & Buckler Tournament

Day: Sunday, August 6th
Time: 9AM Open, Check-in close: 9:50AM, 10AM Start
Cost: $20 at the door, cash or Venmo preferred
