Ricardo Pepi is a 23-year-old, San Elizario native who plays as a forward for the United States Men’s National Team. Pepi had his breakthrough with Major League Soccer Club FC Dallas, and was named U.S. Soccer Young Male Player of the Year in 2021. Raised in San Elizario, TX to parents of Mexican descent, he began playing soccer at age four. His parents played a critical role in advancing his career from an early age, making the long drives to games and training sessions. Pepi left home at age 13 to train for FC Dallas, and played abroad in Germany for FC Augsburg. Pepi has 13 goals in 41 caps, making him one of the most prolific U.S. strikers of his generation. After playing in Dallas and Europe, Pepi made his World Cup debut in June 2026, USA v. Paraguay, in Los Angeles.
