Martha Pace Swift Gallery

Martha Pace Swift Gallery A public space gallery dedicated to art that reflects to and responds on the human condition

The Martha Pace Swift Gallery is a free, public space Gallery owned by the NTC foundation and operated and curated by Wes Chester under the auspices of the Expressive Arts Foundation. The focus of the Martha Pace Swift Gallery is to present arts which comment on the human condition. The Swift has a special focus on single artist shows, trying to present a body of work that expresses a long relatio

nship to the human existential. The Swift also hosts an Annual Group Show for artists in recovery, intended to honor the power of art for healing, change and growth, which is a foundational principle of the Expressive Arts Institute, and the Expressive Arts Foundation.

Wes Chester here with an open call to my artistic friends: Please share broadly:

Be a part of my next music video.
I'm asking for 5-10 second clips on the theme "Where were you when the masks came down?" It's a song about what we have endured, the relief of emergence and the melancholy of what was lost In the pandemic, not only loved ones but jobs, relationships, businesses, homes... Laughter and tears, reunions and separations, the range of experience. Be real.
Video of taking your mask down, first hugs, first maskless selfies very very welcome. There may be a place for stills, not sure yet, but feel free to send...

iPhone/mobile video Is perfect, and shooting In landscape Is preferred but not required.

I have no money for the project, but I can promise you I will handle your material with respect and put you into a context that I hope you will treasure.

Email submissions to [email protected] or message them here. Please put Mask Project In the headline. By replying you imply permission to use your Images for the above purpose only. All other and permanent rights remain with the maker of the clip.

Thanks for the education Alessandra Moctezuma. Wish there were more photos of the work. The muralist movement is worth honoring, and one that is still dominated in the public’s mind by male artists. It’s so important to rebalance this narrative.

There is a diversity of works by Mexican and foreign women who were part of a muralist movement that radically transformed public art in Mexico during the 20th century.
