Save the date! Yes, it’s only June, but this is one you’ll definitely want to clear your calendar for this fall. "Florals and Fruit: From Real to Really Amazing" with Suzanne Hetzel, November 9-11, live on Zoom.

If you’ve been wanting to take your florals and still lifes from traditional to something truly extraordinary, this 3-day workshop is for you. Each day explores a totally new approach, moving from realistic, to expressive, and finally to abstract. You'll leave with so many fresh ideas!

Bonus: It’s all on Zoom, and you get to keep the recordings forever to rewatch whenever you need a refresh.

Suzanne Hetzel has been painting since she was 8 years old and went on to graduate from the Moore College of Art and Design. She’s the President Emeritus of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and her work is collected all over the US and Great Britain. She brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and passion, and years of teaching experience to the table.

Preparations are underway for the San Diego Watercolor Society’s 46th International Exhibition this October! ✨

Each year, SDWS receives hundreds of entries from some of the world’s finest watermedia artists representing 20+ countries and 30+ states. This year, juror Ana Laura Salazar Orozco will select 105 paintings for exhibition.

The Call for Entries for the SDWS June Member Show “The Will of the Brush," to be juried by Chuck McPherson, is OPEN!

We’ll be using a temporary work-around system for entries, and artists can choose the option that feels easiest and most comfortable.

OPTION 1: Bring your painting(s) to the gallery on Entry Day, May 30, and complete the forms in person.

OPTION 2: Pre-register your paintings online and print 2 copies of the form for each entry.
