Franco • Moragrega's nontraditional location, with the surprise factor of the unexpected, is the main idea that our fine art gallery offers to the community of San Diego. F•M aims to create an emotion of excitement for our visitors and art collectors to be amused by the interior of our space, which has been carefully renovated into a white box with a fine art selection on display. The concept of a

fine art gallery in an industrial space has been around cities such as New York and Los Angeles for a long time, but F•M is part of the new San Diego’s art scene. The founders of F•M intentionally selected the 9th district of art and culture in San Diego, between Barrio Logan and Sherman Heights, to develop their business due to their heritage and passion for art and design. Art represents not only culture and aesthetics, but also an investment for our future generations to perceive the journey of society through time. Due to the accelerated technological advances that we experience in this era, a rupture has emerged on what the unique experience of acquiring fine art used to be. Our goal is to rekindle the relationship between art and the consumer by creating not only a keen eye for quality art collections, but also an incomparable network through a wave of affordable luxury and legacy for those to come.

Join us for Opening Reception

FRANCO • MORAGREGA presents artist exhibition Invisible Structures: The Artworks of Richelle Gribble and Janna Avner.

Invisible structures convey the unseen organizing forces of greater sociological and ecological changes occurring in daily life. The paintings, prints and drawings of Richelle Gribble and Janna Avner yield hidden, interconnected forms, mappings and underpaintings, which dissolve relationships of the figure-ground. Their immersive webs of life, aerial perspectives, holograph-like landscapes and deconstructed still lifes remind us of the holistic environments we collectively share. These artists reflect on how the figure or “self” is less a discrete entity, but part of the greater ecosystem of totemic forces contributing to tangible and virtual systems of organization that connect and transform the world around us.

MAIZ- TIEMPO DE CAMBIO
Artist: Dionisio Ceballos

Dionisio Ceballos is a multidisciplinary artist known for his murals, and luminous, colorful abstract work. Ceballos has discovered a prolific language in the constant exploration to extract the mystical, the natural accidents – the substantial. The studies of light, the translucency and the ludic atmospheres are characteristics of his work. His paintings become a translation of the chaotic towards the beautiful – from the unpredictable to the essential.

Escapa modifies reality through the digital manipulation of photographs. At first glance it appears as if we are looking at moving photographic images. The reality is that these images have been repeatedly overlapped in order to obtain this effect, he doesn’t make evident the repetition in his work. But rather allows the viewer to decipher what at first sight appear to be images in movement.
