What a beautiful success for “Reflections in Paint — The Abstract Work of Bobby Gombert.”

Bobby’s work filled Helotes Gallery with color, rhythm, movement, and the kind of layered energy that makes you lean in closer, then step back, then lean in all over again. His abstracts don’t just hang on the wall; they hum, chatter, dance, and invite every visitor to find their own reflection in the paint.

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated the work, asked questions, shared stories, and helped make the show such a vibrant evening in Old Town Helotes. This is exactly what we love most: art bringing people together, from seasoned collectors to curious first-time gallery wanderers.

A special congratulations to Bobby Gombert on a wonderful show. Your work brought the “fine art to fun art” spirit to life in full color.

Come by Helotes Gallery to experience the pieces in person while they’re still on view. Some art whispers. Bobby’s work throws open the door and starts a conversation. The exhibition will remain on display through June 7th.

Tanna Perrin paints the kind of places your mind wants to wander into.

Her work moves beautifully between quiet and sunlit joy — from misty waters lined with trees, to glowing coastlines, to a pelican who looks like he knows exactly where the best beach snacks are hidden. There’s a softness in her skies, a shimmer in her water, and a painterly sense of place that feels both peaceful and full of life.

These pieces invite you to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and let the view do what good art does best: take you somewhere.

Come see Tanna Perrin’s work at Helotes Gallery in Old Town Helotes, where fine art meets fun art — and sometimes, the horizon comes framed.

Bob Lombardi’s work is what happens when color gets a pulse.

His abstract compositions move with a wild, musical energy — part jazz improvisation, part visual treasure hunt. Lines loop, drip, dart, and collide, while bold reds, blues, purples, and golds seem to hold their own lively conversation across the canvas. Look once and you see motion. Look twice and you start finding characters, symbols, pathways, and little sparks of surprise tucked into the chaos.

This is art that refuses to sit quietly — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Come experience Bob Lombardi’s work at Helotes Gallery in Old Town Helotes, where fine art meets fun art and every wall has a little personality.

Kevin Kotara’s work doesn’t whisper from the wall — it hums, crackles, and pulls you closer.

With electric blues, bold gestures, layered textures, and flashes of fire-orange energy, these abstract pieces feel like rhythm made visible. One moment they read like city lights after rain; the next, like jazz notes crossing paths mid-song. There’s movement, mystery, and just enough mischief to keep the eye wandering.

Come spend a little time with Kevin Kotara’s work at Helotes Gallery, where fine art meets fun art — and every brushstroke has a story waiting to be found.

Join us tonight at 5:30 until 7:30 for ADVANCED ART SHOWCASE.
The multi-media exhibit and artists' reception celebrate the work of advance placement students in Sandra Day O'Connor High School. Bring the family and of course your budding artists to enjoy the art and talk to the students and teachers. It will be inspiring.

Kevin Kotara’s work walks into the room before it ever says a word. His abstracts move with the confidence of jazz after dark—gold flares, electric blues, deep shadows, and unexpected flashes of pink and green all trading places like they know exactly where the rhythm lives.

We’re proud to feature Kevin at Helotes Gallery, where “fine art to fun art” means bold color, sharp instinct, and paintings that reward a longer look. Come experience these pieces in person; photographs capture the color, but the canvas holds the conversation.
