That's the Railway Museum's little Choo Choo Train in the Mertzon parade. Thanks to Tommy Robinson, our conductor, and Tom Mase, who drove from Mertzon to San Angelo to give our train a ride!

The Railway Museum of San Angelo is taking the next step in serving our community! Starting September 12, we’re excited to launch a new program featuring museum tours in Spanish and signage in both English and Spanish.

To celebrate, join us for Día del Tren on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.! 🇺🇸🇲🇽

🎟️ All museum tours will be in Spanish
👧 Children get in FREE
🚂 The little “choo choo” train will be running — $5 per child
🎨 Fun crafts for the kids
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A fun day for the whole family!

Would you look great as a conductor? Shine as an engineer? Dazzle in a 1910 costume? Can you speak Spanish?
Come be a guide at the Railway Museum on Saturday, Sept 12. Dia del Tren kicks off the addition of tours in Spanish and is free for all children. There's even a train whistle for kids to decorate and keep.
If you'd like to be a guide, please join us Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. when you'll learn how to give tours and wear costumes. Come see if you like showing people round this beautiful historic building!

We're delighted to welcome the Board of the Texas Historical Commission to San Angelo.

They got a tour upstairs, downstairs and through the caboose from Railway Museum Board members Tommy Robinson, Liz Curtis, Chris Roque, Linda Bond and Mary Alice Smith.

Fort Concho treated the Big Guns of the THC to an artillery display. Mack Johnson (in the white straw hat) pulls double duty volunteering for both Fort Concho and the Railway Museum.
