Samuel Spencer Chapter, NRHS Tues. Sept. 8, 6 PM will be our annual picnic at the Deal's. Look for a mailing from William and Judy with directions to their house.

Chartered April 29, 1978 as the Spencer Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, the name was changed to the Samuel Spencer Chapter in honor of the first President of Southern Railway. We are a Salisbury, NC based railfan group open to those that enjoys trains and their history.

Some members of the Spencer Chapter, NRHS took a trip on Amtrak to Alexandria, VA to catch some VRE commuter trains. Up on the Crescent at 6:15 AM on a Friday and returned at 1:15 AM on a Saturday.
