🚂🎉 WHAT AN AMAZING DAY AT BORONDA DAYS! 🎉🚂

Wow! What a day! The Monterey & Salinas Valley Railroad Museum had such a wonderful time being part of Boronda Days in Salinas last Saturday (9/26)! ❤️

The weather was beautiful, the food was AMAZING, the traditions and culture were so special, and most importantly the people made the day! 🙌

We loved seeing so many Monterey County residents come together to celebrate community, history, family, and the rich culture of Boronda. We met wonderful new friends, connected with longtime supporters, and had the opportunity to share the story of our local railroad and why preserving our history matters.

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who stopped by our table, said hello, asked questions, shared stories, and supported the Monterey & Salinas Valley Railroad Museum. Your enthusiasm means so much to us! ❤️

Days like today are exactly why we love what we do. Our history is alive because our community cares about it.

Here is the Monterey and Salinas Valley Railroad Museum. We are for all ages. Six and up are allowed to drive a model train here (museum-provided or their own) during open house weekends. See you on the first full weekend of the month for Open House!

A heartfelt thank you to Union Pacific for supporting our mission through the Community Ties Grant Program!

Because of this generous grant, MSVRR has been able to bring our Junior Railroad Engineering Program, which combines railroad and agricultural history with STEM education, to preschool through 12th-grade classrooms and our local library.

Thanks to Union Pacific’s investment in our community, we anticipate increasing our impact by at least threefold, inspiring even more young minds to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through the exciting world of railroads.
