Southern Illinois Antique Power Club In 1989 a few people in Southern IL. decided to start a club dedicated to the preservation of antique farm tractors, equipment, and stationary engines.

It was decided to have a show to display and operate them so the younger generation could see and not lose the history of the vanishing old farming ways. A date was set, the first weekend after Labor Day every year. The show always falls just between the end of the fairs, and the start of harvest in the Southern Illinois area. Soon it grew into one of the largest tractor shows in the area. It has been over 30 years and we are still going strong. We have a museum building on the Marion County Fair Grounds that we are constantly working to improve. One day it will house many items from the past that portray history in the farming way of life.

Another successful Little Egypt parade in the books! We had 6 tractors in the parade this year! My question for everyone would be:

Where were you??

Driving in a parade is such a rewarding experience as well as one where you can represent YOUR club!

Let's make it a goal to have more than 6 tractors next year!

Thank you to everyone that participated this year!

If anyone would like to drive their tractor or ride in the people hauler during the Little Egypt parade, please let Patrick know so we have an idea on who to expect. Its a great opportunity to promote the power club and participation would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to ask a question to everyone that follows our page as well as attends our show:

What would YOU like to possibly see at our show in the upcoming years? We always discuss this in our monthly meetings but I think it would be interesting to hear any and all outside suggestions.
