Soft Water Gallery (formerly Soft Water Studios) is a contemporary fine art gallery specializing in the sale and exhibition of fine art, as well as offering consultation services geared towards the development of highly-curated personal or business art collections. Located on the Arts Xchange campus in the heart of the Warehouse Arts District in St. Petersburg, Florida, the gallery represents dozens of emerging, mid-career, and award-winning artists working in a variety of media.

New Exhibition opening this Saturday 5/23 at 4pm!

Peonies in Winter: The Long-Awaited Works of Nate Jessup

In the mid 1960s, Nate Jessup earned two Ivy League art degrees, because he fully intended to spend his life making art. Prevailing trends in the art world and its demands, to him, seemed at odds with his practice. Unwilling to compromise his vision, he walked away, earning his living by other means, and making his art largely in private for years. Now 83, his first real gallery exhibition features a selection of works that span decades of artistic expression and longing.

There's plenty of "New" here at the gallery! Whether its new work from our favorite artists or a new artists work who is soon to become your favorite, the walls are always changing at the gallery and you're bound to find something new with every visit. Not to mention a new front door that's almost complete! Come visit the gallery Wed - Sat 12-6 and Sun 12-4 (You'll find us through the side entrance)

We're still open but please pardon our construction!

If you plan to visit the gallery this week please be aware our front entrance is inaccessible at the current moment. Thank goodness we have two doors! You can use our rear entrance which is around the left hand side of the building. You can follow our signs from the front and you'll see the large gate leading to the Pinellas Trail and our rear entrance is adjacent to that. We've got exciting changes coming to the gallery we can't wait to share with you!

ArtWalk has arrived!

Saturday April 11th from 4 to 9pm we'll be showcasing our newest exhibition with the work of Gordon Parker!

Emerging artist Gordon Parker’s timeless and stylized portraits of women blend modernist tradition with a contemporary sensibility. Drawing on the visual languages pioneered by Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, and Henri Matisse, Parker distills the human figure into angular forms that balance structure and fluidity. His compositions contain a warmth and playfulness that cubism often lacked, inviting viewers into lighter spaces that feel welcoming, vital and familiar.
In this focused exhibition, a small collection of specially selected works highlights Parker’s ongoing exploration of femininity, identity, and form.

On a Knife's Edge: Florida's Beauty in Peril

Our newest exhibition opens Saturday, March 28 with an artists’ reception from 4 - 6pm. The exhibition showcases poignant, elegant, and beautiful works reflecting on Florida's natural environment, taking a velvet-glove approach to examining where we have gone wrong, what is at stake, what signs of hope exist, and whether we, as individuals can do anything to help. The exhibition features the artists Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse, Bruce Marsh, Jie Li and Art Venti.

This special one-week pop up exhibition features large, playful mixed-media paintings by Florida-based artist Tiff Urquhart! An artist on the move, Tiff has been commissioned by the Philadelphia Eagles, West Elm, The Jacksonville Jaguars, and many others.

If you've ever wanted a portable mural, Tiff's work answers the call, providing an upbeat dose of color and energy sure to turn heads.
