Pinellas County is seeking a part-time Education & Outreach Specialist to join the team at the award-winning Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center in St. Petersburg, FL. This position will help market engaging educational experiences, support facility operations, and coordinate a vibrant volunteer program.

🕒 Schedule: Part-time (29 hours/week), Thursday-Sunday, weekends required.

Weedon Island had a very special visitor last week!🦅💚

Miss America, a juvenile Bald Eagle from the Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue & Sanctuary, came to share her story and about the history of Bald Eagles in Florida. It was amazing to see her so interested in our gallery too! Thank you to the Friends of Weedon Island for making this experience possible!

September is Parks for Pollinators month! Pinellas County is joining parks nationwide for the Parks for Pollinators Bioblitz. The events are a targeted survey of the species in a particular area. We're on a mission to track the health of pollinators across the county and need your help documenting as many pollinator species as possible.

Participating is easy:
