A Prairie Stroll, an immersive installation by Linda Snouffer.

Featuring more than 60 hand-dyed panels of silk, linen, muslin, & organza, and hand-printed with a swath of individual grasses. Suspended from The Dow Art Gallery ceiling, the panels form a pathway beckoning visitors to walk among the panels. Their movements will generate subtle currents, causing the lightweight fabrics to sway - simulating the experience of walking through a tall grass prairie.

A Prairie Stroll - September 5-30

Featuring dozens of hand-dyed panels of silk, linen, muslin, & organza, and hand-printed with a swath of individual grasses, A Prairie Stroll is an immersive botanical print installation by Linda Snouffer.

Suspended from The Dow Art Gallery ceiling, the panels will create a winding pathway. Unlike traditional exhibits, visitors are encouraged to walk among the panels. Their movements will generate subtle currents, causing the lightweight fabrics to sway - simulating the experience of walking through a tall grass prairie.
