Penny creates beautifully crafted pieces using ethically sourced materials, each designed with meticulous attention to detail. Her work is elegantly simple, full of charm, and offered at an accessible price point.

We’re excited to have Penny in the gallery - stop by to meet the artist and explore her collection!

The annual Grand Art Resale starts tomorrow! This is our 4th year hosting this wildly popular event, and we are bursting at the seams with beautiful, unique artwork at fabulous prices. We have a huge selection of paintings, woodcut prints, glass, basketry, wood, textiles and pottery - all previously-owned, high quality and well cared for art that’s waiting for a new home.

The event starts at 10am tomorrow, March 20th, and runs through April. New work will be added regularly.

Come find your new favorite treasure!

The era of “open-ish” is coming to an end on Friday, February 27th, as we officially open the doors to or new location. We’d love for you to join us to celebrate at our Grand (Re)Opening event. We have a special evening planned:

Live music from talented ceramicist and pianist Chuck Solberg.

Refreshments provided by La Cucaracha.

A free drawing for gift certificates for the Grand Hand.

A special mutual aid sale of work donated by Grand Hand artists; 100% of the proceeds will go to Neighbor to Neighbor and other grass-roots organizations supporting families impacted by ICE.

Join us as we bring together the art, the artists and the community.

Our new location is at 1338 Grand Avenue (Grand & Hamline), just 1.5 miles west of our former space. Park in our customer lot kitty-corner from the gallery.

We are open in our new home!
With all the trauma in our community over the past several weeks, it’s felt difficult to post updates about the move to our new space. But I do want to share the happy news that Grand Hand has officially moved to 1338 Grand Avenue.

While we’re still a work in progress - hanging paintings, organizing pottery, rounding out our displays - our door is open. You’ll likely find a stray hammer among the mugs, a step ladder in the corner or half unpacked boxes here and there, but you’ll also find loads of beautiful art ready to be enjoyed.

We now have a parking lot for our customers, kitty-corner from the gallery.

Our new hours are:

Wed: 10 to 5
Thu: 10 to 7
Fri: 10 to 5
Sat: 10 to 5
Sun: 10 to 5

The Grand Hand Gallery is going places!

We are moving to a new location on Grand Avenue in January 2026–you may have already seen the awning change at 1338 Grand Avenue, in the space formerly occupied by longtime creative stop Treadle Yard Goods. We’re excited by the opportunity to bring local fine craft and art to the intersection of Grand and Hamline, and additional parking for you is a nice bonus.

We will be open at our current location through mid January, so if you still have shopping to do for yourself or others, you know where to go. We will be closed for a week or so starting Sunday, January 12th. We will let you know when we’re ready to open, and we will keep showing off the work in progress here!
