Did you know the first church built in Apache County was in St. Johns in 1881? Visit the ACHS Museum to learn more about the history of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, including photos of how it changed over the years.

Summer 2026 at the ACHS Museum:

This doll house was made by St. Johns resident, Katie Kellogg. She estimates that she made 75% of the furnishings and other items you see in the house.

A Best of Show winner at the 2024 Arizona State Fair, it has been loaned to the museum for our community to enjoy. Please do not touch, but feel welcome to look and enjoy the many little things stashed around inside.

Can you spot a tea cup and a pine cone in each room? Katie has placed them around in fun places. Come to the museum and see for yourself! We open Tuesday, May 26th, and will be open each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00-2:00.

It's that time again! The museum will open Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 10:00 am. We invite you to join us this summer every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00-2:00. If you haven't been into the museum for awhile, come see what's new. You can look at ancient ancestral puebloan artifacts, early pioneer history and even the tusks from a wooly mammoth.

Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
