From Ward Harvey’s Grandson Russell Hawkins: “Hi, I scrolled through your entire page. Lots of good history. Kinda sad to see nothing of my grampa, Ward Harvey's donation of the large addition he donated. 20K I do believe, plus he donated tons of taxidermy work, my mom (Carol Harvey) has at least 2 or 3 paintings there. I did not see one mention at all. Ward also was the one who paid for the old church to be moved into town. We followed it into town. The county crew had to use a boom truck to raise the power lines whenever the church went under them. The steeple was removed for height but still was taller than the lines.”

The Cheyenne County Historical Society sends a big THANKS to Jeremy Entermuhle, St. Francis Scout leader for painting the teepee at the Cherry Creek encampment to cover the graffiti that was painted on the teepee several days ago.
