Escape the heat and humidity - stay in the AC and watch our documentary "Secrets of Spanish Florida" now streaming online and in the PBS Passport app. Released in 2017, this documentary uncovers the St. Augustine story of America’s past that never made it into the textbooks. Filmed largely in St. Augustine with support of local reenactors and historians, locals may very well recognize their neighbors in the film! Produced by UF Historic St. Augustine, the film is a Secrets of the Dead presentation for public television of THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET.

Join a team of archaeologists, scientists and historians as they reveal the little-known history of America’s Spanish colonists who settled in Florida in 1565, long before Jamestown or Plymouth were founded. Narrated by actor Jimmy Smits. (
