This is a photo of the paver the Ste-Agathe Historical Society purchased …. Here it is with many others that were installed this week near The Frenchville Veterans Honor Wall. The official dedication ceremony of the Frenchville Veterans Honor Wall is to be held this Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Park in Frenchville. Public is invited.

Sunday’s Fun Valley French class was held in the Ste-Agathe Historical Society’s Longfellow School. The session, led by Leah Cook, generated fun and enthusiasm as the attendees participated in interactive language projects. Some of the attendees with Leah are Kate Hebert, Carole Plourde, Sharon Chasse, and Sandra San Antonio.

Special event at the Longfellow School - Sunday afternoon 2:30 - Join us as the Grand Isle Historical Society brings their fun Valley French sessions to us! These informal sessions are a time to share, practice, and learn Valley French as it’s spoken here. They’ll show us the ropes as we play games, do interactive activities, and come up with our own conversations to explore and celebrate the vibrant French as it’s spoken in the Valley. Instead of 1 teacher, we have lifelong fluent speakers as our own knowledge holders, and Leah serves as our creative facilitator. All ages and ability levels are welcome! We adapt what we’re doing to whoever is in the room. The session is Free and will be very welcoming and supportive. We always have snacks.😊

The Ste-Agathe Historical Society held its annual Appreciation Brunch on Sunday for the Trail Guides and Volunteers. All attendees signed in and placed their name card in the bucket for the door prizes donated by Lisa Bosse. Trail Guide Jack Michaud picked out the winners. In photo with Jack are the lucky Trail Guides -Dr Paul Buck and Joyce Plourde.

August 19th. The plaque designating that the Pelletier/Marquis House is in the National Register of Historic of Places has been installed on this special rock. That rock and many others were pulled out from underneath the house during the recent foundation repairs.
