Founded in 1972, the Latino Center of Art and Culture is a multi-disciplinary cultural center and community gathering space, offering cultural programming and art education workshops. The mission of the Latino Center of Art and Culture is to foster the artistic, economic and cultural development of Sacramento’s Latino/x community by presenting, exhibiting, and providing excellent artistic programs and services to artists, organizations and families.

CAMINOS MUNDIALES / GLOBAL ROADS: Artwork Revealed in the Search for the Color Blue

Since early childhood, Maestro Stan Padilla has been enamored by the color blue. He has been on a global quest for the meaning and sources of the plant and mineral sources of this elusive color. His journey includes Buddhist monasteries along the Silk Road, ancient temples of Egypt, Renaissance churches in Florence, Toltec temple murals in central Mexico, and the jungles of Southern Yucatan in search of Mayan Blue. He brings these experiences to Sacramento through this exhibit at the LCAC.

Join us for this powerful new exhibition and activations featuring drawings, paintings, photographs, prints, and videos by Maestro Stan Padilla.
