Biography:
Seven44 is a multidisciplinary artist most notably known for her originally written and performed spoken word prowess, as well as her old-school hip hop musical influence. Seven is a Sacramento native from the southwestern neighborhood of Greenhaven, where she was raised by her single grandmother, and single mother. At the age of 14, Seven would discover slam poetry through the Sacramento Area Youth Speaks (SAYS) youth poetry organization, and would begin to compete for an opportunity to achieve a spot on the notorious SAYS slam team.
At the age of 28, Seven has achieved many creative accolades across multiple industries—she competed as a slam poet on the SAYS team for 3 years (2013, 2014, 2017), she was the youngest poet ever at the age of 17 to win and earn a spot on the SFSU slam team (2015), she is retired from the modeling industry after 3 successful contracts (SF, NY, LA), she has performed at countless venues from the 916 to NYC, she started her clothing brand “The People With Reason” (PWR) at 19 and shared her love for streetwear, thrift, jewelry, and print making with the world, and now Seven is nearly ready to drop her highly anticipated 3-track EP—“7:44”.
Seven gives acknowledgment and gratitude to the trivial and often difficult times she’s been through for equipping her with the necessary tools to be a well-rounded artist, and person.
