Huge thanks to our amazing clay labbers for donating over 20 handmade bowls to River City Food Bank’s annual Empty Bowls fundraiser! 🥣✨

We’re beyond grateful for this talented, generous community and the heart you put into every piece.

No two bowls are alike - and that's part of the magic of Empty Bowls.

We are excited to have beautifully handcrafted bowls from Verge Center for the Arts joining this year's collection. Full of color, character and creativity, these pieces are a wonderful reminder of how artists can use their talents to strengthen the community around them.

At Empty Bowls, guests take home more than a beautiful piece of art. Each bowl becomes a lasting reminder of an evening when our community came together for neighbors facing hunger.

Thank you, Verge Center for the Arts, and the talented artists behind these creations for sharing your creativity so generously with Empty Bowls 2026.

Together, we fill Empty Bowls.

We are 3 weeks away from the first weekend of Sac Open Studios 🎉

Meet one our weekend 1 SOS artists, Ciara Cumiskey!

Ciara Cumiskey is an interdisciplinary visual artist. Her work draws from the elegance of historical art movements such as the Renaissance and Art Nouveau, infused with naturalism and energized by beauty, dreams, and not-so-far-fetched fantasies. Blending old and new, her artwork often captures fleeting moments of wonder and tranquility, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the fragile, beautiful aspects of life.

📍Be sure to mark down Ciara as a must stop for weekend 1, September 12 & 13
