Dyer Library/Saco Museum One Card, Two Doors: all Dyer Library cardholders receive free admission to the Saco Museum at any time.

The Dyer Library and Saco Museum promote life-long learning and appreciation of culture; preservation of the past, and state-of-the-art services and resources for all. Any Saco Resident or student at a Maine University can have a Dyer Library card free. Saco Museum Admission:
Adults: $5
Seniors/Students: $3
Children (under 6): $2
Children under 6 are FREE

All Friday evenings from 4-8 PM are FREE

OF CHARGE!!! The Saco Museum offers complimentary admission to members of the following organizations:

American Museum Association (AMA)
Maine Archives and Museums (MAM)
New England Museums Association (NEMA)

Summer Reading is almost here! We have so many programs, events, and prizes planned for all ages. Over the next week leading up to the Kick-Off on June 20, we're introducing you to all the fun challenges we're offering this year!

For Tweens & Teens: sign up for our raffle style challenge! There will be one drawing at the end of the program, with a grand prize and 4 runner-up prizes, for a total of five winners.

We're also teaming up with TA Middle School to co-host a book club and read three books from the Maine Student Book Awards list! Please visit our website for more information and to register.

Get ready for a summer of pages, prizes, and endless fun! Don't miss our Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday, June 20 at 10:30AM. We'll jam out to a performance by Fun Run, a high-energy Maine-based "kindie rock" band that plays original, family-friendly sing-along songs for kids - and their grown-ups too. Summer Reading is almost here! We have so many programs, events, and prizes planned for all ages. Over the next two weeks leading up to the Kick-Off on June 20, we're introducing you to all the fun challenges we're offering this year!

For Toddlers: Children 5 and under can participate in Adopt a Reading Buddy! During the week of June 20, cuddly plushie Reading Buddies for children under 5 will be available to “adopt” from the library while supplies last. The only criteria required is that the child agrees to read “with” or to their reading buddy every day – you can keep track with a reading log all summer long!

Summer Reading is almost here! We have so many programs, events, and prizes planned for all ages. Over the next two weeks leading up to the Kick-Off on June 20, we're introducing you to all the fun challenges we're offering this year!

For Kids Aged 5-11: Dyer Library’s 2026 Summer Read and Bead Challenge! We wanted to find a creative way to celebrate every page turned, so we’re turning reading time into a wearable work of art. As you log your minutes - whether you’re reading solo, listening to an audiobook, or sharing a story together - you’ll earn a variety of colorful, metallic, and glow-in-the-dark beads to build a custom necklace that grows along with your reading list.

As part of our Adult Summer Reading challenge, we've added the Read ME 2026 statewide summer reading program selections to our collection! This summer’s featured adult fiction and non-fiction books are "The Islanders" by Lewis Robinson and "A Gardener at the End of the World" by Margot Anne Kelley. You can listen in to the kick-off on Maine Calling tomorrow, June 5th at 11AM to hear these Maine authors discuss their books and answer questions from libraries and readers across the state! https://www.mainehumanities.org/event/read-me-2026-maine-calling/
