Soooo, we are stretching our season a little bit. Labor Day is our official end, but I have opened for the Quilt Show since 2020. Sacketober Fest was a good day for us, so I am going to open 12 to 4 for the Cemetary Tour on October 17 and Halloweenville on the 24th. Come hear some ghost stories about our house!

Don't forget!! The Quilt Show is this weekend at the Union Hotel and Visitor's Center. Then, wander down to the museum ...

Don't forget!! The Quilt Show is this weekend at the Union Hotel and Visitor's Center. Then, wander down to the museum to see the quilts in our collection. We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11am to 4pm. Hope to see you there!

They are celebrating Fall today in Sackets Harbor from 2 to 10pm. There are 5 bands, food trucks, and booths to explore! Main St is the place to be, so come on down. You will have to use Washington St to visit the museum, but we are open till 5pm today.

Sunday, Sept 13 I am at the museum working on a few projects. If you're in town, stop for a visit. I will be open Sept 19 for Sacktoberfest 12 to 5pm and Oct 2, 3, and 4 11am to 5pm for the annual Quilt Show.

If you didn't make it down, you missed it. The house looked lovely in its greens and reds. Our visitors laughed and joined in the fun. Besides the sights of Christmas, we had the smell of balsa fir and the sounds of a carolade ringing out holiday music just like our Pickering bells here in Sackets Harbor.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Yes, the Museum is celebrating one of the holidays we are closed for, by decorating not only the outside, but the inside as well. The time machine only went back to the 1950s this year with a few family touches that date to the early 1900s. Stop by and experience the sights and sounds of a historic holiday.

And the window painting project goes on.... We are still hoping for a volunteer to help glaze a few windows. My husband says it's "easy". I don't know if I want to add glazing to my skills set, but I may have to. We have 5 windows in progress - top 2 now just need glazing while the bottom 2 plus one are in various stages of scraping, priming and painting.
