🚨 SATURDAY IS THE DAY! 🎨⚡

📐 FUN STEAM FACT: Tattooing is all about Math & Tech! 💻🎮
Ever wonder how technology and math help artists make incredible art? Modern tattoo machines run on electrical frequencies measured in Hertz (Hz)—the exact same math unit used to measure screen refresh rates on smartphones, tablets, and video game consoles! 📱⚡

If a machine runs at 100 Hz, that means 100 precise movements per second. In just a 1-hour session, the math adds up to 360,000 micro-punctures working together with geometry and angles to create lasting art! 🧮🎨

⚡ FUN STEAM FACT! 🐦🎨

Did you know tattoo machines use physics and engineering to move needles up to 100 times a second? That’s faster than a hummingbird beats its wings (which is about 80 times a second)! 🦩⚡

Engineers use tiny electric motors and magnets to make sure the machine stays super precise while artists create amazing artwork! 🔬✨

🦎 FUN SCIENCE FACT! 🎨✨
Did you know your body grows a brand-new top layer of skin every single month? 🐍

So how do tattoos last? Tattoo ink goes deep into the lower dermis layer, right beneath the top layer that sheds. That's how science keeps your art locked in place for life! 🧬🎨

✨ Did you know? Tattooing relies on the physics of fluid dynamics! 🔬🎨

Ever wonder how tattoo ink actually moves into the skin? It works using the exact same science that helps a paper towel soak up a juice spill, or helps giant trees drink water all the way up to their top leaves! 🌳🧃

It’s a cool physics trick called capillary action! Liquid naturally loves to squeeze through tiny spaces. So when a tattoo needle moves, physics pulls the ink smoothly along for the ride—no tiny pumps needed! It's pure science powering awesome art! 🔬🎨

🔬 Prism & Pigment: Fun Fact #1! 🎨

Now that we’ve announced our upcoming Prism & Pigment Flash Tattoo Fundraiser hosted by Divine Arts Tattoo - Rutherfordton, we’re counting down to the event with a fun tattoo science fact each day!

Did you know? Tattoo ink doesn’t simply “sit” in your skin. The pigment is deposited into the dermis, where immune cells called macrophages interact with the pigment and help keep it in place.

Art + science = a pretty fascinating combination!

Stay tuned tomorrow for another Prism & Pigment fun fact!
