This very special flag at the museum is 150 years old. It has 37 stars and the 37th star added was for Nebraska in 1867. This flag flew at Camp Sheridan north of Hay Springs sometime between 1874 and 1880. The 38th star for Colorado wasn't added until 1877. It is very possible this flag was flying at Camp Sheridan during the USA Centennial in 1876.

Sandhills Institute presents Karla Garcia's art installation, "Archive of Land." The exhibition will be on display from July 10 to September 27 at the Rushville Armstrong House Museum. Join them on July 10, 2026, for the opening reception, which will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
