A few of you have reached out asking about the car show for this year. Last year we held our final Runnells Historical Society Car Show. Knowing that last year had a record number of classics lining Runnells streets, beautiful weather & the best car community join us, it made our difficult decision a bit more comforting knowing that we ended on the best note!! Thank you to all of you that made the ride to Runnells to spend the day with us for 10 years of the Runnells Historical Society annual car show!! We appreciate the support from each of YOU!! Please continue to make the ride to Runnells to visit our awesome lil corner of Polk County!! Check out the Runnells Historical Society museum, Morgans University of Runnells for a sandwich & Lori’s Ice Cream Shoppe for a sweet treat!!!

The Runnells Historical Society will be open this Saturday from 10 to 1. Come see us and learn about one of our local residents that was involved in the Bataan Death March.

On this day in military history 🇺🇸

In April 1942, during World War II, thousands of American and Filipino troops were forced into what became known as the Bataan Death March.

Attention: the Runnells Historical Society has the following positions available for election in the upcoming annual meeting, secretary, treasurer & a trustee. If you’re interested in joining the board or being a trustee, let us know by Friday, April 3 via FB messenger or send an email to [email protected] to be added to the ballot. The annual election will be held April 16, 2026 6:00 at the museum.
