Our vendors aren’t just local, and they’re not all from Oregon! Our last artist feature is Piper French of Mountain Sky Arts who came to us all the way from Boise, ID! Her jewelry is award winning and uses intricate but delicate wire wrapping to make pieces that feel almost other worldly. We’re honored that she brought her talents all the way here to UVA!
We’re still here until 4pm, so theres still time to come and check out Piper’s booth and other artists before we wrap up.

We are always excited when new vendors join our event, whether they are local or from out of town. Katelyn Wells comes to us from Florence, Oregon and it’s her first year here. Her work wowed our Artist Relations Committee with the delicate but detailed way she built up her shadows and contrast. Thanks for joining us Katelyn!

Another legacy vendor we want to shout out is Scharff Family Jewelers! Cliff Scharff has also participated in some of the earlier years of the Summer Arts Festival. For around 57 years, he’s also watched our event grow from its humble beginnings into what it is today and is a staple many look forward to every year. He’s joined by his son, Sam, who has been working alongside Cliff full time for many years. Sam’s own festival experience goes back 10-15 years. Thank you, Sam and Cliff, for joining us again this year!
There’s still time to come and see vendors before the festival ends! Come see Sam, Cliff, and the over 100 other artists from now until 4pm.

Another legacy vendor we want to highlight is Dale Kurtz. Dale Kurtz paints detailed watercolors that expertly capture light and color. His subjects are mainly landscapes, many of which are right in our own backyard in Douglas County. Dale has been a vendor for 50 years, which dates back to the humble beginnings of the festival when it was in its original location across the Umpqua River. His beautiful paintings have been a staple for festival and we’re always happy to see him!

We have many returning artists who come back year after year to bring their art to Roseburg and Douglas County. Today, we’re highlighting some of the long-time legacy returning vendors who have been with us through the decades.
David Johns, who many know as The Spiceman, does shows around Douglas County throughout the year, and we’re proud to be one that he has included in his yearly schedule for 34 years! He does salt-free, all-natural, and gluten-free spice blends that add a punch to any meal. Catch him today until 4pm along with our other vendors!

Great bites and good vibes! Who doesn’t love good food and open air music? Come out to the 57th Annual Summer Arts Festival for great art, food, and amazing entertainment. We’re grooving until 9pm tonight!
