Join us for Traditional Games taking place at the Saline Courthouse Museum on July 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The games are free and open to the public.

Experience Cherokee tradition through our Traditional Games on July 3 at select museums across the Cherokee Nation Reservation.

Visitors can stop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to watch and learn traditional Cherokee games that continue to bring our communities together. The featured games include Cherokee marbles at the Cherokee National History Museum, chunkey at the Saline Courthouse Museum and stickball at Sequoyah's Cabin Museum.

Free and open to the public, the interactive games offer a hands-on opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience Cherokee culture this summer.

Reminder! Traditional Games will be taking place at the Saline Courthouse Museum tomorrow, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The games are free and open to the public.

Learn more about our Traditional Games happening June 5 at select museums across the Cherokee Nation Reservation.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., each location will feature live demonstrations of traditional Cherokee games that have been played for generations. The event will feature stickball at the Cherokee National History Museum, Cherokee marbles at the Saline Courthouse Museum and chunkey at Sequoyah's Cabin Museum.

The games are free and open to the public and offer a fun, engaging way for all ages to connect with Cherokee traditions and culture. We hope you join us this summer!

Decades of devotion to Cherokee pottery traditions and public service have brought renown to Cherokee National Treasure Victoria Vazquez. Join us as we honor the breadth of her work in our new exhibit, “Victoria Vazquez: From the Earth,” at the Saline Courthouse Museum in Rose, Oklahoma.

Now through September 12, you can view Victoria’s early work learning alongside her mother, Cherokee National Treasure Anna Mitchell, to more recent works that honor tradition.
