Our Story

We purchased the 200 year old Hockanum Mill brownfield site in 2013 with a vision to rejuvenate this historic location and create one of the largest Motorcycle Museum in the United States. The 11 acre lot holds 10 buildings totaling over 150,000 square feet of indoor space; It had shared a similar fate to the other textile mills of New England; Abandonment & deterioration.

In 2018, the first phase of the site's resurrection will be completed-- the New England Motorcycle Museum. Visitors will find a world class exhibit with a diverse collection of over 100 vintage motorcycles & memorabilia, a motorcycle library, and the beautifully restored Hockanum Mill. Later additions will include a restaurant & bar, microbrewery, and courtyard.

In the following years, we will begin rehabilitating the remaining historic buildings that will hold more museum exhibits and other activities for visitors. Our goal is to make Rockville, Connecticut a world class destination for motorcyclists & tourists. We are so excited to share this journey with you all.

Can you guys help me? Who runs your vins? I have some 50 year old Rokon frames and I want to know the vins are good before I start the builds. They are 5 digit vin numbers. I called my local police department to make an appointment to bring them in and they said they dont do vin checks. The tolland state troopers will only run vin numbers when it is part of a criminal investigation. The dmv sent me to the inspection station, they require a fully assembled bike to verify the vin. The car fax type sites need a 17 digit vin to run and so does my powersports dealership Why is this so damn difficult???!!!! Who do I turn to?

This is Old School. My Dad (back in the mid 50's) on what I think is a 1929 Harley, SENDING IT! No suspension , no Helmet , No F*cks given. I'm sure Ken Kaplan 's father was around for this as they grew up less than 1 mile apart.
I just heard you have a great replica I coming to see it I cant wait.
