Lorrie Harrington created this beautiful Roseate Spoonbill shown in the window at Wind Way Gallery. What a treasure it would be — having your own Roseate Spoonbill to view every day in this beautiful setting as you sip your morning coffee.

Through the end of May, we show the FABRIC ART of Lorie S. Dorpinghaus.

Please Join Us for ARTWALK
Saturday, April 11, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Throughout April, we are celebrating the art of
Greta Watkins & Shelly Wierzba.

UPDATE: Greta’s Big Tree has sold, but she has other beauties to see this weekend.
Greta Watkins—
“As a way of finding a sense of place, of belonging, after moving to a new community a few years ago, my recent paintings are based on my new environment. I’m especially drawn to finding those tracks or gravel roads that lead somewhere but that don’t necessarily reveal what is at the end of the road. I like that sense of mystery.”

Shelly Wierzba—
Rockport, Texas oil painter, Shelly Wierzba has been creating art in various media for 47 years. She studied art and design intermittently throughout her educational years and pursued independent study with renowned painters in the Pacific Northwest after a fulfilling career in the medical field. She enjoys plein air painting and teaching from both her studio and on location.

We look forward to seeing you at the reception!

The 31 day challenge
by Shelly Wierzba

Artists are always students, no matter how acclaimed they become. We read books, study the masters, go to workshops, and do crazy exercises like creating a painting every day for a month (or longer). Artists learn from each other. This group of five intrepid painters of various levels of expertise, decided in December to paint a painting a day, from life, in January 2026. Whoever accomplished the mission for 31 paintings was the winner, and it was agreed that whoever had the fewest number of paintings would buy the rest of the group lunch. This was not only a good way to stretch our artistic muscles, but also to build community and support for each other. We had two amazing painters complete the challenge with 31 daily painters: Clementina Rivera and Lucy Nye. We will be at the March 14 reception and look forward to your questions and input.
