When you are standing in Stew Henderson's show, “Common Allegories,” showing through July 27th, you can experience the satisfaction he took in pursuing how his process led him in tangents. The painted wooden cutouts are intriguing in the ways they piece together, in the intentional roughness of some of the treatment, and in the precision of others. In DESERT INTERIOR 2023 Acrylic and aerosol color on wood 48 x 36 inches, the angles and the juxtaposition of dry colors against the startling saturation of the blue sky, transport the viewer to another environment.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11am -4pm, and by chance or appointment.
