Sad day today. I have two walls of art up at the Riverton Hospital by request from Vicki ( Art gallery rep) , one wall has my wildlife paintings and the other wall has my Jesus artwork. People have complimented and reached out to me to tell me how much my artwork means to them, how it has given them hope and helped them feel love from Jesus. Apparently it just takes one complaint, and all the Jesus art must come down. ( The other art can stay.)
It’s so sad to me in a world where everything is accepted, but Jesus is not. Dark art is okay, Buddhist art is okay, all other art is respected, but don’t put up Jesus. It makes Satan too angry, it sheds too much light, it brings more people to their knees, it spreads too much love, it spreads too much hope. Who will stand for Jesus when the world won’t? Who will stand up for what is right? In our Free nation.
Let us spread light, let us love one another, let us not be offended by one image of Jesus, and let us see it for what it is, a symbol of hope, a symbol of love, a symbol to remind us to think of others to live as Christ lived, full of Charity, full of forgiveness, grace and mercy. Let us not need to agree and like every tiny detail in order to have respect. I will continue to paint Jesus, as his light should not and cannot be hid under a bushel.
