We are proud to announce ‘Blooming Vessels’ a solo exhibition of works by Orange County based artist Trace Mendoza.

In “Blooming Vessels” the artist dissects his own art books, dissembling every page and collaging the works into a unique and new visual presentation. In these collages Trace weaves together elements inspired by skateboard graphics, punk rock, cartoons and various historical art styles. Each Blooming Vessel stands as a representation of the human condition, one that’s made up of different codes of reality.

Trace Mendoza (born 1986 - Orange County, CA) is an Orange County based artist whose current work centers around his relationship with his own art books. His work has been exhibited at SCOPE, The LA Art Show, Artist Republic, and numerous galleries. Companies such as Hurley, Wahoos and The Frida Cinema have commissioned him to create site specific murals.

Please join us on June 10 from 6 to 9 pm to see the world through a lens of a young man that is experiencing an enhanced visual journey.

“Blooming Vessels” will be available to view at A Blve Rose June 10 through July 8, 2023.

This is the last week to view “Face-to-Face” a solo exhibition of Riverside based artist J. Carino.

We feel inspired by the carefree drawings of the male figure. The compositions spotlight the artist keen observations that brought out each individuals character.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this such fun showing. Especially to Carino who is a great example of the talent that rests within our city.

“Face-to-Face” is on view at A Blve Rose through May 27.

“Face-to-Face” a solo exhibition of works by Riverside based artist J. Carino is having its opening reception this Saturday, April 29 from 6 to 9 PM.

“Face-to-Face” is a selection from a series of portraits of q***r men from all over the world, drawn since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Initially, the drawings were created through one-on-one virtual sessions over FaceTime and Skype, or through q***r virtual drawing groups. As pandemic restrictions eased, the sessions were finally in person: face-to-face. Some are strangers, some are friends of the artist, and some became friends through the virtual portrait sessions. Drawing a portrait is all about a sense of connection with the subject, and during a time when we were all separated, the intimacy of these moments became even more important.

J. Carino (b. 1988, Colorado) is a Riverside, California-based artist whose work explores ideas of q***rness, identity, sensuality, and nature. His work has been exhibited internationally including solo shows at Auxier/Kline (New York) and Monti8 (Italy), and numerous group shows that include BEERS: London (UK) and Sow & Tailor (Los Angeles). He is a graduate of Parsons School of Design.

“Face-to-Face” will be available to view at A Blve Rose April 29 through May 27, 2023.

‘Succulent Serenity’ by Jesse Monstera celebrated Earthday like only he could. It was such a fun filled day of potting cuttings, meeting plant lovers of all ages, and finding hidden symbolic gestures in the artwork by Jesse.
We are extremely honored to have been the host of Monsteras first solo exhibition. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our efforts to raise awareness of our role as stewards on this shared home. And especially to the artist, who made those efforts such a fun interactive experience.

As Earth Day approaches, we are happy to announce “Succulent Serenity” a special exhibition of plant art by Riverside based artist Jesse Monstera.

After spending decades shaping and molding concrete into various forms Jesse turned his life around through his art practice. He followed his love of plants to seek a deeper connection to the natural world around us. Playfully arranging plants within frames hung on the wall, in pots, and inside other objects Jesse is able to introduce the essence of nature to the viewer.

Jesse inspires and educates our community about the importance of preserving and appreciating our natural environment by encouraging them to explore the wonders that surround us every day.

Please join us for the an all day reception on April 22 from 12 am to 9 pm.

“Succulent Serenity” will be available to view at A Blve Rose only on April 22, 2023.
