FREE HOMESTEADING SESSIONS AT THE PIONEER CRAFTS FESTIVAL THIS SATURDAY IN RISON - The Arkansas Homesteading Conference has created a "mini conference" for this Saturday's Pioneer Crafts Festival at the Pioneer Village, 200 Yaney Drive in Rison, Ark. There will be sessions on converting herbs into tinctures, teas and salves; soap making; tanning hides; best chickens for egg and meat production; gardening; rain barrels and more. There will also be mini-demonstrations and educational stations for blacksmithing, backyard beekeeping, candle making, managing your land for wildlife and timber, and more.
