Aztec Sound Bath Experience

A sound bath is a beautiful and easy way to relax, rejuvenate and refresh your mind and spirit.
Arrive and relax as Martin, your host, evokes beautiful sounds from his exotic instruments.
Sound baths will relax and renew, letting yourself go to that beautiful place within to clear your mind and enjoy a relaxing meditative hour. Everyone who comes will find a great group of
wellness minded people. Bring a pillow, blanket or yoga mat for stretching out, or sitcomfortably in chairs around the perimeter.

Venus is a bright half-illuminated disk, but it disappears from view shortly after 9 PM. Saturn is barely rising in the East.

We will have several telescopes set up for public viewing.

The Quarter Moon is 10.4 days old and 77% illuminated, with lots of details visible in our telescopes. We can see craters, mountains, rilles, and other details on the surface of our nearest neighbor.

The Museum rocks on Free Saturdays!
Glenn Harris will be here from 11-2 with a large collection of rocks and minerals as well as interpretive panels showing the kinds of rocks and the geology of the Indian Wells Valley. He will help with identification of rocks.
The docents will provide the paints and rocks to paint for a craft activity.

Come to the first ever " type in " typewriter event in Ridgecrest.
All ages are welcome. Come by and learn what a typewriter is
and how to use one or take a trip down memory lane.
Write a short story or maybe a love letter.
There will be 15+ typewriters to look at and try out.

Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury are visible but will be setting early. If skies are steady, we can see the phase of Venus that is only half-illuminated.

The Quarter Moon is 6 days old and 42% illuminated, with lots of details visible in our telescopes.
