PLEASE vote for my niece! Not only has Whitley overcome health obstacles after doctors told her she would not be able to play sports or even participate in gym, but she has also excelled and become a great athlete and exceptional basketball player.
She has a strong mind and is mentally tough. She plays with a great attitude, confidence, focus, intelligence, composure, intensity, tenacity, determination, discipline and a heightened awareness of the game. She inspires others with her passion, enthusiasm, dedication, dependability, versatility and adaptability. She is an unselfish play maker who always looks for the right and best play for the team. Whitley always shows respect for referees, coaches and players. She makes plays, not excuses.
She is physically strong, competitive and aggressive on both offense and defense. She gives her all-during games and practices and during training and workouts on her own. If there is a battle for a ball on the floor, Whitley will come up with it. She takes blocks from players twice her size and weight, purposely sacrificing her body for the play.
Whitley possesses a strong desire to get better and to make her teammates better. While she leads and supports them, she is extremely coachable. Whitley, coaches and players want the ball in her hands when the game is on the line because they know she has put in the work and prepared to win.
Off the court, Whitley is kind, considerate, thoughtful and academically strong.
Thank you!
Angela Whitley
