Thanks to everyone who could make it out to our annual MBM Illinois open house event in Richmond, IL. Even with the wet conditions, Mother Nature cooperated with several rain free hours and we were able to enjoy the day to the fullest. I would like to extend a huge thank you to Richard Schauer and his Bus Department team at the Illinois Railway Museum. It was amazing to see the progress that has been made for bus preservation at IRM. The bus barn tours were a special treat!

Volunteers were busy again today getting ready for our open house event tomorrow. As customary, after setup was done, we all took a bus cruise for pizza! Thanks to all who helped out and looking forward to seeing our members tomorrow for a day of bus enthusiast fun.

We are under one week away from our annual open house event in Richmond, Illinois. Our open house event kicks off at 10 o’clock on  Saturday September 19th. Please be sure to register by the end of the day Wednesday, September 16 for planning purposes. I need to make sure to secure enough tickets as they typically sell out.. We are looking forward to seeing all who can come out for a day of Bus enthusiast fun! Also, as a reminder, we will be doing an evening dinner trip for pizza Friday evening for anyone who comes early.
